I wouldn't call it expensive.  Expensive is $10,000 for a Lisa.  For the
performance, it's relatively cheap.

Thanks for your suggestions.  Re your last point, the Athlon 64 is a real 64-bit
system, and I'll be able to run my 64-bit apps on a 64-bit windows in 2004.  But
you're right, things change fast.  However, you can't always wait until
something better comes along; got to pick your spots.
