Hi Rémi,

Thanks for answering !

I'm afraid I can't find all my answers on those pages.
I already have on my @to_read list Stroustrup "The C++ Programming Language" 3rd
edition and Steve Meyer's "Effective C++" and "More Effective C++" and I will
check out Koenig and Musser's books, but I'm not 100% sure that those books are
_all_ that I need. They will certaily improve my C++ experience but what I am
looking for is something more project-oriented from a practical viewpoint ...

(other than the books I couldn't find useful advice in there for my problem ...
I certainly am not in the position to have a mentor, and the rest - well it's
C++ explanations, which have limited scope, not the overall view
project-oriented that I look for - maybe I'm wrong, I'll take another look
tomorrow)

I'll try to put it in another way : think that I am in charge of writing a
program that is similar to latest Chess Assistant (don't worry, I am not, I just
give this as an example comparable in magnitude to what I'm trying to achieve).
This project is going to be written 100% by me and I know perfectly well how the
end product should be look like. I consider myself to be an experienced
programmer and have experience working with medium size projects, but I have not
written one from scratch yet and I am a bit nervous not to screw this up in the
long time. The main question I'm asking myself is the following :

    * How to think about this whole project, how to organize it all in my head
and on paper so it will be easy to write/maintain/enhance in the long run ?

At the moment this is my main question and I look for books or other resources
that would help me understand it.

Andrei
