Here's a few to look at:

Code Complete - Steve McConnell

C++ Gotchas: Avoiding Common Problems in Coding and Design - Stephen C. Dewhurst
(never read this one but it comes highly recommended from my C++ nerd friends)

Refactoring: Improving the Design of Existing Code - Martin Fowler

Design Patterns - Erich Gamma

Maybe not all of these are what you're looking for, so go to Amazon.com and read
reviews and see if you think it sounds good.
