Dan explained the rule. This mainly leaves K + minor piece vs. K and K + B vs K
+ B, where the bishops have the same color. Either side could have more than one
B.

Another type of positions that fit the same rule cited by Dan are blocked
positions like

[D] k7/8/8/1p2p2p/1P2P2P/8/8/K7 w - - 0 1
