Ok well I was hoping you could help me once again, if not thats fine I know im a annoyance somtimes. Dual processor Chess Computer: Looking for a good computer to run Deep Fritz 7; hopefully around 2,200-2,300 kN/s. And everyday things, such as the Internet. Buying: Case: ANTEC Performance PLUS Model PLUS1080AMG- with Antec Original TRUE 430W P4 Power Supply ATX12V Retail (newegg.com. $105.00) Heatsink: Thermalright SLK-900-A ( Heatsink ONLY ). All Copper heat spread. AMD: Athlon XP Palamino, Thoroughbred, and Barton 2800+ and up. (newegg.com, $47.99, x2= $96.00) Hard Drive: Maxtor 200GB 8MB Cache 7200RPM Hard Drive 6Y200P0 (newegg.com, $191.50) Memory: CORSAIR MEMORY Kit 512MBx2 PC3200 VALUE SELECT. DDR RAM - OEM (newegg.com, $179.00…… 1 gig total) Motherboard: CHAINTECH 7KDD AMD Server Motherboard 762+768 ATX RETAIL (newegg.com, $183.00) Processors: Athlon MP 2800+/2.26GHz 266fsb 256k L2 1.75v (Price: $109.00) Sound Card: Chaintech 6 Channel Sound Card Model AV512 (newegg.com, $15) Video Card: VGA CHAINTECH Geforce3 TI200 128MB TV Retail Box (newegg.com, $112.00) Questions: 1.I need 2 Hot sinks right? 2. Which cd/rom drive would you reccomend that will run chess software adequately? 3. which modem is good for my system? does it matter which 56k I pick from newegg if i wish to go 56k? 4. Case/watt selection fine for the MB and CPU's? 5. Is all that stuff I listed all compatible with the motherboard? Or should I go with a MSI K7D Master-L (MS-6501-030) AMD760MPX Dual Athlon 266MHz ATX MOTHERBOARD With Onboard LAN- RETAIL . Also which is better, not considering price. 6. Which stuff is trash and should get rid of/or switch to what? 9. I miss anything? Thanks a ton!!!
