Having tried one out ... yes, you can, but it is quite thick.

Sizewise the new iPAQs (1930 and 1940 in the United Kingdom) are a real
surprise; although not quite down to Palm dimensions (I saw a Tungsten T lying
on its back and briefly thought it was a cigarette lighter :) they are getting
there and the infamous clumsiness of PocketPCs is, finally, being solved.

Sizes in centimetres:

Axim X5 12.8 x 8.2 x 1.8

iPAQ 1930/1940 11.3 x 7 x 1.3
