Remember you are going to make a GUI book, not an engine book. Enable the option "use GUI books" under (extra > option > books). If you want to build a NEW book: go to extra > book import and the opening book converter window pops up. Create a new (empty) book in *.bk format. Click on "Add" and select the database you want the opening book to be built from. For the rest I think it pretty much goes quite intuitive. If you want to ADD games to the book, follow the procedure I described, but don't make a _new_ book, just open the book you want to append. If you want to EDIT the moves (setting weight and adding moves or variations) open the book in the book window (check "use GUI books" and/or "use engine books" again under extra > options >book) and right click on the moves. Choose "update moves" in the context menu. If you want to add a VARIATION, use the right click context menu again in the book window. If the option is greyed out, you can't add variations, because there are none (all legal moves present). Good luck. J.
