You're right about Mihaly and Mike not using default settings.
Not because they don't want to, but because there seems to be a(nother) little
twist to using The King outside Chessmaster.

The engine itself starts up with a default value for Selective Search of 6,
and then receives CM's default settings which include sel=9.

In other words, without sending explicit settings (except for opk and tts) the
engine stays with the old default sel=6, which translates to 1 in endgames.
Since this position involves zugzwang, lower sel helps. BUT!, in most middle
games the default sel=9 or eg SKR's sel=12 will be a bit or a lot better.
