If you participate, a chance to improve on previous rankings would be nice. The
Baron was 10/18 in the last edition, and as Baron improved a lot compared to
last year (where Baron suffered from a lot of bugs the first weekend) I hoped to
enter the 1st half of the table. Well, I did a small comparison with last years
edition:
New are: Rebel, Ruffian, Nullmover. Two top engines and one of the weaker
amateurs (at least in this list)
Not participating this time: Insomniac, Warp, Tao (strong amateurs, but not top
engines) Goldbar, Celes ('Medium' strength amateur, not weak), Shark, Djenghis
(weak amateurs - sorry Sander and Jan)
Seems to me the average strength of this tournament is much stronger than the
previous edition. Entering the 1st half of the table will be very difficult now.
Richard.
