no Ed, it does not run under Fritz 8 for me ...I have tried numerous uninstall
and reinstall, upgrade installs and full installs .  When I substitute the
pre-release engine for the final release engine, it runs - so there is nothing
wrong with my rebel2uci settings etc under F8,

these are my particulars:

OS WIn2K
Rebel 12 purchase - Upgrade CD version, using the download with a "temporary
code" per the email instructions.

I believe this may be copy protection issue, initially I did NOT enter the new
code, as one was populated when the screen popped up - I had assumed that was
the code, but it was not.  I have since unistalled and re-installed numerous
time with the right code but to no avail.

Chess Partner GUI works fine.
