I love Crafty and believe that Bob Hyatt has done great work with Crafty and Cray Blitz. But Crafty on a dual would not top the SSDF list. Think about it for a second - Crafty has for years been open source . The top commercial programmers for years have NOT made their source public. So any CHESS programmer worth his salt should be able to make their chess program BETTER than Crafty. But Crafty today is still one of the top free programs available and perhaps the top free program with open source. Of course, you give crafty a sufficient hardware avantage, it could top any list.
