Thanks. I tried it and see that the file is recreated. I saved the original just
in case, but the replacement seems to work OK.

However that doesn't fix some of the bugs that I'm continuing to see with the
Shredder 7 GUI. For example, a bug in the Notation pane...

If I am running an Infinite Analysis with the Scoresheet tab selected, then I
click on the Notation tab, the GUI may spontaneously reset the clock to zero
(0:00:00), and the analysis begins again at the start (0:00:00). This doesn't
always happen, just sometimes, but it can ruin a long analysis of many hours
which I didn't wish to terminate!? I have seen this bug in most of my
installations of this GUI, but not in all installations. Unfortunately it is
present in my latest installation.

This suggests that the installation program from the CD makes a slightly
different installation each time, based on some unknown factors. I have always
used the "Typical" setup. Maybe I should try the "Custom" setup instead. I know
that sometimes installers work better that way, but haven't tried it with this
one.

Or perhaps my anti-virus software (Norton) or firewall (Kerio) are interfering.
I haven't tried disabling the Norton software before the installation, but I
should. I will try that next, now...

And because the Shredder 7 GUI has an internet/server connection possibility, my
Kerio Personal Firewall could be interfering. For example if I close the main
program it returns to the dialog box where I can select either Play Shredder or
Playchess.com. If I then click on Playchess.com, my firewall may ask whether I
really want to allow this to happen. But again, this doesn't always happen, only
sometimes. Thus I am continuing to see erratic, unpredictable behaviour when
using this GUI. It's a mystery.
