did you say mini ATX with four hard drives? dont think so----

I have had a 15000 RPM Cheetah for quite some time now, with no issues.
The ATX full tower runs cool, some fan noise.
This SCSI hard drive causes no heat issues and runs quiet.

I think the ideal air flow setup keeps a positive pressure in your sealed case.
Your filtered air should flow into the case, and across the cooling fins of the
processor cooler and exit out the rear of the case. The top exit is ok as long
as a sufficient amount of filtered air entering the case flows to the processor
fan.

hard drives have not caused any heat issues for me.
the two biggest heat producers on my systems have been the processors and the
power supply.
