Subject: Endgame tablebases - how much do they really affect playing strength?

Actually, this question is best posed as this:

How much stronger are programs that utilize 5 men EGTBs vs those that only have
access to three and four men EGTBs?  I have to believe that it will vary with
the program used.  Having said that, has anyone with substantial empirical data
on this subject attempted to put a bound on the strength increase associated
with 5 men EGTBs vs 4 or less?

I'm trying to assess the return on investment for the 5 men EGTBs.  Disk space
continues to get cheaper and cheaper, but especially for laptops with multiple
operating systems installed on them, space can become an issue.

Any thoughts/opinions on this?
