A >dedicated computer (the top of the line now, mind you -- excepting perhaps the >R30 --) being beaten by a cell phone. the dedicated chess computer market died out in the ealry 90's thanx to the PC chess program now we finally see the ultimate destruction of chess as we now know it its bad enough to play chess in front of a computer screen with a mouse, now we get to play chess on a tiny cell phone give me a nice BIG wooden board with nice wooden pieces to play chess ..if you please and i can suffer the several hundred rating points lower truth be told, most dedicated computers released in the 90's can beat 99% of chess players today so all this silliness about 2600-2700 rated programs makes no sense at all really unless of course the interest is in seeing which program can beat what program but i dont know what that tells us anyway.. Claude Shannon and Alan Turing are probably turning in their graves, even as we speak..on the cell phone of course Luddite Regards Steve
