Kasparov is the greatest player of all time. Of that, I have no doubt. But, he, as has everyone else in HISTORY, makes an occasional blunder. It's just that when he does it(like once every couple years), it gets magnified and blown out of proportion. Remember when he lost to Sokolov in 99? Also Lautier and Gulko beat him. And, of course, Game 6 against Deep Blue. And then there was the game against Short in the 93 Championship match where he resigned after about 17 moves in a King's Gambit. It happens. Will
