Subject: Rebel 12 opening book.

Hy guys,
I have just bought the download version o rebel 12.
It is an excellent program, but I would like to use a better book (with the
download one gets a medium-mall book and no ECO).

I have got some old EOC for Rebel 10 from the old site, but they seem to work
only in part: they are recognized but no position is ever found matching the
data in the file.

I see on rebel new web page (http://members.home.nl/matador/rebel12.htm) that
there should be support for managing the opening books natively. But i don't
understand how.

If I use the ChessPartner gui opening book tool, I get only the possibility to
create a book for the chess partner interface, not a rebel native book.
Hence, I would like to know if somebody knows how to produce (or where to get) a
better rebel book. How to produce an EOC.

Does anybody understand how one should operate the panel which comes pressing
F4?

E.g.: for mostof the settings I get a message like "<some action> done" but I
see nothing happen.
I have tried to import a pgn file from this panel but I failed. Are there any
info on how to operate here (the contextual help file explains ho to install WB
engines).

The only progress I managed to do was to use an external rebel book, I got some
old books from rebel old site that seem to work fine. They are thematic books on
specific openings and they can be usend only one at a time,
and having the ability to merge them would be also helpful.

Any hint is apprecaited....

thanks
Franz
