I don't see anything wrong with that message, I think you may be mistaking
writers style for arrogance.
Uri is just giving his take on the matter, probably looking forward to a good
and interesting discussion.

Nothing wrong with discussions or disagreements, people disagree all the time.
There are even those who crusade against bitboards, I love that - disagreeing is
great!

Though taking it up one level to the more objective plane would be nice
sometimes.

Actually, I think he gave some good advices.
In any case, I'm sure it was not intended as a declaration, but merely as a
participating post.
