Why should ratings exceed 3000? IMHO rating has nothing to do with chess skill. Rating numbers measure only players performance against opponents. For example an engine may not be able do win with king bishop and knight against the lone king. But this engine may have a rating beyond 2700. Kind regards Bernhard
