I think it have been like this for a long time. I reported it here last year.

You say 30% but I get 50% slowdown here on my NT4.0, If I try an external engine
(Yace) the engine get only 25% cpu.
So at least when you play eng-eng matches you have to disconnect the board (in
the menu), because even eng-eng matches with ponder off isn't fair between nativ
and external engines.

(The cause is the design of the dgt-adapter, it spinning all the time in Fritz
and not every 200ms or something, like in other dgt-adapters)
