For example the March 2003 update included a new Shredder704.eng engine. So I'm not so sure whether you'll get everything for Shredder 7 with a Fritz 8 update. My notion would be to register a new account at the playchess.com server and only enter the Shredder 7 product code. Then maybe you'll get the Shredder 7 update(?). If not, I suggest that you email their tech support. WP
