Subject: Infinite Analysis mode bug in new Shredder 7/Fritz 8 GUI (Oct 8 2003)

I've noticed that when running Infinite Analysis mode with Shredder704.eng and
the new GUI update (Oct 4 2008), it stops (freezes) at random. In one case it
stopped after about 3 minutes. In another case it stopped after about 40
minutes. The GUI thinks it's still in Infinite Analysis mode, however the engine
pane clock has stopped and apparently the engine isn't analyzing anymore. At
that point, clicking the Infinite Analysis mode link in the menu simply turns
off Infinite Analysis mode. It's then necessary to click it again to turn it
back on. But then it does not continue from the point where it stopped, and the
prior analysis is lost.

Unless this bug can be fixed pronto, I'll definitely roll back to the March 2003
update, because I only use this software in Infinite Analysis mode.

Of course I'm multitasking other applications including Internet Explorer,
Outlook Express, an antivirus, a firewall, perhaps a ftp client, and misc
utilities in Windows XP Home. So it could be difficult to trace the cause, if it
has an external cause(?).

I've never had this happen before with any prior GUI version, and I've been
using them for several years...
