Hi Jon. I could only watch the start of the game, because my wife was waiting
for having dinner. Averno went out of book after black move 4 and I was
surprised it went to positive score very fast being a pawn down.
This is a very experimental version of Averno. It has a slow and complex and
speculative eval and some very risky pruning rules.
I guess I must disable some of these rules when there're few pieces on the
board. I haven't have time to study the game yet, but would be very interested
in analisys of the ending by some strong programs. If my program blundered
somewhere or simply didn't analyze correctly the ending, that would help me to
know what rules are doing a bad job there.
Thanks for posting the game.
