Another example where in fact there ís a mate in the final position, but ERT
incorrectly announces it as a mate for White where it should say Black. White's
last move 45.Re5 is a blunder and again you see the 0.00 score. The majority of
games end this way in the Betazoid - Macheide match, always in a position where
the outcome of the game is already pretty certain, the losing engine making a
blunder that accelerates the defeat or, possibly, sending incorrect info and/or
move to ERT which means it loses on time.
So this last thing just means I have to adjourn a game if I don't want to wait
till the losing engine waits for its flag to fall for instance.
No matter where the bug is, the interface and the engine that has a difficult
position seem to be out of sync. I myself can't remember seeing cases in ERT
matches where a Rebel throws away a winning position with a blunder, but I'm not
entirely sure.
