After 40.Bh5+ Kxh5 41.Qf1 (the moves that were played in the game), Black took 14 seconds to play the very poor 41...Ng4, which Chessmaster 9000 sees as leading to Mate in 10 in less than one second. This may have been the mate that was announced that the user saw. 41...g5 is the only way to prolong the game, although of course it is completely lost by then anyway. jm
