Does anyone agree?.......Alan I recognize this as a legitimate issue, thought it does not really bother me. Evidently, it depends on the person. If it bothers you, then I would think it is a significant handicap given the usefulness of computer chess programs and databases. If you use an auto-sensory chess board, you must make significant trade-offs worth avoiding if possible. Perhaps it only becomes a problem if you don't use a regular chessboard often enough. Maybe a better solution is to simply balance out your use of a computer with use of a regular chessboard.
