I haven't yet got this engine, but a friend who works with me in the www.chesslovers.tk homepage is continuing our tests comparing the different fritz8 engine versions, he is now testing F8.00.26 in blitz games against the same opponents than his previous brothers and under the same conditions. These are blitz games, for the moment it seems that this version isn't the eldorado. Buying it 40 Euros just to get a new "bad" engine (not so bad finally) is really very expensive! Kurt's more serious experience is just at the beginning, but it seems to have the same conclusion for the moment. Hope there will be better days for F8. Such a release means probably that Fritz9 and DeepFritz8 will not be commercial even the first 2004 months. Or it just means that the fritz team has reached the maximum in developîng this product !!
