I recently implemented check extensions and pawn extensions. In my case, pawn extensions means 'any move where a pawn moves onto the 7th (2nd for black) rank' is extend by 1. Check was also extended by one. I had a maximum extensions of 3. and then ran a match between my old and new (with extensions engine). The result was a rather resounding win to the old one (sigh, not again :) ). Is there something obvious i'm doing wrong? and also, what other extensions are there? what is the definition of a recapture extension. Cheers
