typical is to limit extensions to one full ply per at each ply.
Also, you need an equation to decide max extensisons per line.
The equation is usually based on the intended search depth from the root of
the tree.
there exist different definitions of recapture search. I'll explain the
leading two (they are nearly the same).
1) it is a recapture if the move captures a piece that brings equality
to the material evalutation following a previous capture.
equality may or may not have a delta value.
2) it is a recapture if the move captures a piece that captured a piece.
#2 implies capturing on the same square as the previous capture.
#1 does not.
