Why is it "weird" to spend 100 dollars to get a 50 pt. rating increase??
Computer Chess is my passion, and I assumed it was everyonelse's here as well.
It would be a rediculous idea to the uninitiated who lack appreciation for Chess
strength. I guess like everyone else I am obsessed with the idea of owning the
strongest possible chess program. In a way however I agree with you, because
when I had my old 486 I could not beat my programs then!! So why did I upgrade
to a pent233?? The truth is it was well worth it! I mean people go out to a bar
and spend 100 dollars in one night getting drunk and pissing it away!
