Subject: Thumbs up for Bruce

Wow, miss a week -- miss a lot. That's the way I feel after catching up on
reading here after a short hiatus.

It's my opinion that Bruce hasn't done anything deserving of condemnation here.
It's very easy for me to keep straight what is written on
rec.games.chess.computer and what is written here at the computer chess club,
because I haven't read rec.games.chess.computer in so long that I would forget
that it existed if not for the references to it found in CCC messages from time
to time.

As you might imagine, as a consequence of not reading r.g.c.c., I have very
little idea of what anyone is writing there. So maybe I'm missing out on some
nice flame wars... gee, shucks. Oh, but now I see I am starting to find similar
content here. Fantastic, I'm so excited!

Yes, and I have a bridge to sell you.

If people want to object to statements made in r.g.c.c., why don't they do it in
r.g.c.c.? What is the point of doing it here? Is there some attempt to convert
the CCC to the cesspool that r.g.c.c. had become when I left it many months
(over a year?) ago?

As someone who reads only CCC posts, and doesn't recieve "insider email" from
anyone who is or has ever been involved in an organizational capacity with the
CCC, the recent public protests of resignation seem pretty groundless to me. If
Bruce has said something in r.g.c.c. that raises the ire of others, please argue
about it there.

I am comfortable with the job that Amir, Bruce and Don have been doing, and all
three moderators have my full support.
