Usually I play blitz against other humans on ICC, but today I gave SlowBo a
shot. Slowbo is a gimped crafty; I'm probably the equivalent of a 1700 FIDE
rating. (ICC ratings are horribly inflated). The game started out with SlowBo
misplaying the opening, but I was unable to take the advantage, and the game
entered into a tactical melee. These aren't really test positions per say, just
a fun game to watch. I know the game is full of blunders, but thats what makes
it interesting. Try to work them out without using your silicon friend :)

White has just captured Black's Knight on B6. Should Black play the tempting
cxb3? White's threat of Rh3/g4 looms on the Kingside . . .
Zappa suggests:
1... Qxb6 2. Rh3 h5 3. Nc1 a3 4. bxa3 Bf6 5. Qg3 h4 6. Qg4 Nxa3 7. Rd3 Bxc3 8.
Qxh4
= (0.06) Depth: 12/27 00:01:52.06 44135562kN
(I played Qxb6)

Should White burn his bridges with g4?
Zappa likes Bd2 originally, but switches to g4 after almost 4 minutes (but
thinks white is losing).
1. Bd2 Nd1 2. Qf4 Be5 3. Qh4 Bxc3 4. Nd3 Bxd2 5. Rxd2 Nc3 6. Qf4
= (-0.74) Depth: 12/24 00:01:22.24 30397395kN
1. g4 Bf6 2. Bg5 Bxg5 3. Qxg5 Nd1 4. Rc2 Qb7 5. Qd2 Nb2 6. gxh5 Qxe4 7. Rxb2
axb2 8. hxg6
= (-0.55) Depth: 12/28 00:03:30.92 76919712kN
(SlowBo played Rc2)

At this point I was starting to go crazy. Black has Bd4 and Bf6 as tactics based
on the discovered attack on the Knight, but neither of them work . . .
Zappa sez:
1... Red8 2. Rxe7 Bb4 3. R7e5 Rd1 4. Kh2 Bd6 5. Bf4 Bxe5 6. Rxe5 Qb1 7. Rxb5
Rdxc1 8. Bxc1 Rxc1 9. Rb8 Kg7
= (2.47) Depth: 12/30 00:01:59.40 50432427kN
(I played f6)
[D]2r1r1k1/4p3/5p1B/1p3qpp/7Q/pPb3RP/Pn2RPP1/2N3K1 b - - 0 36
The tactics continue. Is White's bishop a goner or a martyr for the cause?
White threatens Bxg5. I played Be5, calculating Rxe5 Rxc1 Kh2 Qxe5 Bxg5 fxg5
and white can't play Rxg5 because the rook is pinned. What did I miss?
Zappa sez:
1... Kf7 2. Bxg5 fxg5 3. Rxg5 Qh7 4. Qf4 Bf6 5. Rxb5 e5 6. Qe3 Kg8 7. Rc5 e4 8.
Qg3 Bg7 9. Rc7
= (1.15) Depth: 12/37 00:04:30.96 112114352kN
Fortunately for me, SlowBo missed it, and I went on to win with my extra rook
after Be5 Re1 Bxg3 Qg6.
