Speaking as a former Dual Procesor Macintosh user from the mid-1990's, let me tell ya, Just because there are 64 procesors available, the ghosts aren't gonna show up and play-- this isn't 'field of dreams!' -field of bitboards,maybe. I am refering to installed user base for chess playing apps. While I do not doubt for a moment that amazing hobbyist software like Doc Hyatt's Crafty will be recompiled for opteron faster than most, do not expect the commercial publishers to hire extra programmers to jump on this bandwagon this year in this economy. I still believe shredder8 will be great, and so will chesstiger16, if it doesn't bite it's trainer like some others.
