   Frank,
The question is of course what are you looking for.
Do not compare in the same breath F8 with the others you list.
F8 is one of the top chess engines. The others you mention are not.
The difference is,with those you mention you MAY stand a chance
to draw once in a while, with F8 you WILL always be beaten.
And I am sure you know that F8 is a software program and not deicated.

I have F8 and only use it for analysis on my computer.

Because of my ELO level and the fact I like to play chess on a real
size tournament board I am concidering buying the Excalibure
         Grandmaster.

Frank please know that the Exc. Grandmaster has many limitations
compared to F8. Eg: Strength,Analysis,Opening book depth,
         no.moves take back etc.

The engines you list do not have the features of Exc. Grandmaster.

So you decide. What do you want?...........Alan
