The problem is not the weaker opponent.
The problem is they play >60 games in some matches, 40 games in other matches
and sometimes matches do not happen at all.

74 games against Fritz 8 and no games at all against Shredder 7 or Chesstiger.
Is it a surprise that you get less valuable statistical results?

Junior 8 is obviously very strong against Fritz 8.
So it was lucky to play Fritz 8 that often.

To play an equal number of games against all top programs is only fair.
