Jorge (and others) like to run these tournaments and let Ruffian use the Fritz book (or some other very good book) and then post results about how good it is. I really haven't seen a major strength increase from 1.0.1 to 1.0.5 in engine matches I've played. Per-ola himself said 1.0.5 was basically a few bug fixes. People are running tournaments with 1.0.5 and letting it use the Fritz book and then going nuts about how great it is. I don't see the logic there. SSDF doesn't show it either.
