Subject: Upgrading Fritz8

I just used Playchess to upgrade Fritz 8, which now shows a version of 12/8/03?
  (August 12, 2003?). How can one check the version number?
  Also, are there any engine differences in this latest version of Fritz or are
the only changes in the GUI?
