Thank you very much for that timely information!!! I was just getting ready to dump the Oct 8 2003 update again for my Shredder 7. Now I'll test further. Yes, I have confirmed that mine behaves exactly the same as you indicate. If Infinite Analysis mode is in progress, clicking the Help,About menu immediately stops it. So there is clearly a GUI bug here, and a serious one because I only use this software in Infinite Analysis mode. But perhaps as you suggest it might be possible to use the GUI in Infinite Analysis mode if no other operations are attempted. Actually I'll make some experiments in that regard, and report back if I find anything else obvious that causes Infinite Analysis mode to stop. If it's only the Help,About operation that causes it, that would be easy to avoid. I note however that there are quite a few different keyboard keys which are mapped as a shortcut to the Help,About operation (see the Tools, Customize list), so it might not be reasonably possible(?).
