What book are you using for PocketFritz 2?
I use imported Shredder7.bkt book and PF2 always plays 1.e4 c5 there with
Options -> Engine -> Opening book -> Best move.
The original Shredder 7 book has 90.4% c5 and 9.5% e5 but the imported book
plays always 1.e4 c5 on my Axim.
Even if your book plays 1...e5 then it should never play the relative bad move
3...g6. My Shredder 7 book plays always 3...a6.
The PocketFritz 2 book plays also 1...e5 but IMO never 3...g6.
