Janos, I certainly will not disagree with your point (as a chess player, I would
be too weak, to argue). I only wanted to bring some computer chess into the
discussion. Kurt believed it is hard to go wrong in the pos and lose it. I
think, my little experiment has shown, that this is not true for engines, in
general (I did not chose a really weak engine with Shredder 6 ...). I of course
appreciate your comments. I think, we are not in disagreement - at least I don't
disagree with you (neither with Kurt). For engines, things seem not so easy,
however (which was my only point).  Perhaps not even for humans. I guess Dan,
who started this thread, is one of the stronger (or strongest) chess players,
who regularily contribute to CCC. From his initial post, he did seem to be not
certain about this pos.
