No. Criticism is intrinsic to engineering and, as Richard Feynman once said (I paraphrase enormously), "I will start by asking stupid questions; perhaps I might accidentally ask a profound question". Heaven preserve us from the ambience of two mailing lists, to which I am a horrified subscriber, where the (musician) participants spend much of the time praising one another and everyone runs for cover at the slightest hint of dissent!
