You are definitively correct more testing is needed, but I previously tested
Ruffian 1.0.5 versus Comet B62 both using their own Opening Book and after 15
games Ruffian 1.0.5 was leading by 7 games, which gave me an idea to test it
using Openings played by strong human GMs.
