One small correction.
The games were played 1 at a time because CM's tournament mode succeeded in
confusing at least 1 of the 2 machines. Though I vaguely recall that it was
possible to play 2 at a time (CM white and CM black) before confusion struck.
But since CM8000's Game Room was more informative than the Tournament Room,
1 game at a time was then prefered by tester Hans Chr. Lykke.
So I think it qualifies as semi-automatic.

That's a very good question!
In my few e-mail exchanges with SSDF I failed to mention this, because the issue
was how to set-up TK under CB. That didn't work, and for the last couple of
months nothing seems to have happened. Unfortunataly I'm not very proactive
when it comes to other people's business, and I have a feeling SSDF testers are
exactly like me :-)

So the big question is: who's business is it?

Another one: why doesn't any SSDF tester ever join whatever discussion?
Addmittedly this question is just an attempt to move the blame away from me.
But still it is an important question, about SSDF in general.
