Actually, no offence was intended.  Perhaps a little was taken, though?

As it happens, I disagree with those who think that preparing variations in
advance of a game to spring on an opponent is unethical.  That your software
simply outplayed Rebel is a testament to its strength.

Frankly, I think that any stature I might have in the computer chess community
is sufficiently low (more accurately: non-existent) that you need not be
concerned with errant speculation on my part!  For this reason, I was surprised
to see your reply.

I will be attending a WCCC for the first time this year.  I am looking forward
to meeting you and the other computer chess software developers.  I will be
presenting a paper at the ACG conference.  I am confident this will give you
ample opportunity to demonstrate just what a newb I am. ;-)
