Look at the history of WCCC. There are many examples where faster HW didn't win. A single proc pentium 90 beat a 512 proc (or was it 1000) machine and deep blue. Last year Brutus did well but didn't win with FPGA. I am not saying that speed doesn't make a difference. It should make an individual machine play better. But, it takes more than speed to be the best. Charles
