I suspect that it may be important because the engine may ignore the level command(otherwise it does not need level command in its ini file). I do not know if it is the case and it is only speculation. I also read nothing about chinito in the winboard forum. I did not read where to download it but I guess that it is possible to download it as UCI engine so it may have problems when it runs under winboard with some adapter. Uri
