Thanks. I could elaborate point 2 at the moment, if only to add a bit of meat to it. As it happens, I have here at home a database with ALL games different versions of Ruffian played on ICC during the past few years. About 17,000 games against humans, different programs; lots of losses and timid wins at first until the ruffian the Brute raised his head reaching over 3000+ at blitz :-). But you seem to be right in your description, it's vivid. Thanks again :-)
