Yes, he deserves it. Ruffian plays sound chess and proved to be able to beat any
other commercial. With a good run Ruffian can also win tournaments. Remember
Thueringen 2002, now Leiden 2003 and Ruffian - had the operator installed ALL
5-man-egtbs - also would have finished 2nd in Thueringen 2003.

Your statements of world records, well, I don't take them serious because there
is nothing been measured in comparison with other programs.
And you forget that Richard Lang did *much* more than Perola by leading the
computer chess for ages, and Christophe also did a much harder task with Chess
Tiger than Ruffian did: He topped the SSDF from nowhere. This is MUCH harder
than to win a single 11 round tournament participating only 3 commercials
(TheKing, Rebel, ChessTiger).
So calm down a bit. I am also impressed that Ruffian is able to mix up the top
commercials but it is not justified to speak about any world records noone ever
proved.
