Note:  the endgame tables have changed a bit in how they are accessed.
This change requires that Eugene's latest egtb.cpp code be used or the
newer tables (ones with pawns) won't be detected and used.  It might be
that fritz 8 was released before the new egtb.cpp code.  Crafty currently
has the latest, and I'd assume that most amateur programs are using that
so that they have no such problems...
