I imagine if you spend 5000 hours on something, you can become sensitive about
it. We need 2 inch thick skin to interface with others on the internet. I have
been called a racist and a liar and all sorts of other things (all absurd of
course). Of course, in my case, I often deserve a fair measure of the criticism
that I do receive because I can be harsh myself. "What goes around comes
around."

I think probably you did not change opening approach from opponent to opponent.
However, I think it is a very, very good idea to do it. I plan to enter
thousands and thousands of games into a database. When I play against any
opponent, I will look up the opening that the opponent (human or compter) does
the most poorly at and attempt to play that opening.

It is only common sense to do so.

At any rate, I suspect you will be back. We're all moths to the computer chess
flame. If you do manage to escape, write us a note once a year so we can find
out what it's like "on the other side."
